Romans 8Living Bible (TLB)
1So there is now no condemnation awaiting those who belong to Christ Jesus.
2 For the power of the life-giving Spirit—and this power is mine through Christ Jesus—has freed me from the vicious circle of sin and death.
Romans 8Living Bible (TLB
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 And so we should not be like cringing, fearful slaves, but we should behave like God’s very own children, adopted into the bosom of his family, and calling to him, “Father, Father.”
16 For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God’s children.
17 And since we are his children, we will share his treasures—for all God gives to his Son Jesus is now ours too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?
* The text speaks about a woman taken an adultery…
* The text speaks also about the Pharisees and Scribes
* The text speaks those who are cruel towards the sinner
* The text speaks who are careless towards the sinner and
* The text speaks who are condemning towards the sinner…
But the most important thing most of all is the lessons that we can get from Jesus teachings…
What did Jesus teach the people???
- The Grace of God towards the sinner v.7
* He Forgives our sins – Jeremiah 31:34
* He Forgets our sins – Hebrews 8:12
* He Forsakes our sins – Hebrews 10:17
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
- The Goodness of God towards the sinner v.10
* He shows his mercy – Psalms 9:13
* He shows his meekness – Psalms 25:7
* He shows his manners – Psalms 86:5
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
- The Gift of God towards the sinner v.11
* Gift of eternal Liberty – Galatians 5:1 – Galatians 5:13
* Gift of eternal Love – John 3:16
* Gift of eternal Life – James 1:17
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
- The Guidance of God towards the sinner v.11
* have a Changed life – 2 Corinthians 5:17
* have a clean life –2 Corinthians 6:15-18
* have a committed life
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 6:15-18
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
